Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with UN SDG targets and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-encrypted communication systems
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions for neuro-interface research initiatives
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging technologies (synthetic biology, AGI, fusion energy)
- Design ethical frameworks for autonomous decision-making algorithms
- Present strategic briefings to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $2M+ annual innovation portfolio with ROI-focused KPIs
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in future-focused roles
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science/Engineering with published research in emerging tech
- Expertise in scenario planning methodologies (STEEP, Delphi)
- Proven track record scaling AI/quantum projects from concept to commercialization
- Deep understanding of blockchain, IoT, and biotech convergence points
- Certification in Technology Foresight (e.g., APF, Foresight Practitioner)
- Experience securing federal/state grants for advanced R&D projects
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ disruptive tech innovations launched post-2020
