Responsibilities
- Architect 3-5 year innovation roadmaps for exponential technologies (AI, quantum, synthetic biology)
- Lead cross-functional teams of PhDs and engineers in moonshot projects
- Identify and secure partnerships with national labs and global research institutions
- Present foresight frameworks to C-suite and board of directors quarterly
- Manage $5M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused allocation
- Develop patent portfolios for breakthrough technologies
- Organize global symposiums on future-of-humanity topics
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computational Biology, or related field with 8+ years R&D leadership
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proven track record of commercializing exponential technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI alignment
- Experience securing >$10M in government innovation grants
- Fluency in strategic foresight frameworks (e.g., Delphi, scenario planning)
- Portfolio of 3+ technologies deployed at Fortune 500 scale
