Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation strategy, focusing on quantum computing, AI ethics, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives, managing $5M+ annual innovation budgets
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies through patent analysis, academic partnerships, and startup scouting
- Present innovation roadmaps to executive stakeholders and investor boards
- Build and mentor a high-performance innovation lab team of 12+ specialists
- Establish KPIs for innovation ROI and track progress against quarterly milestones
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record of launching commercialized products from R&D concepts
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains: quantum computing, AI ethics, or synthetic biology
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies preferred
- Strong network connections with academic institutions (MIT, Stanford, etc.) and venture capital firms
- Certification in technology foresight methodologies (e.g., Horizon Scanning, Delphi Method)
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience delivering to C-suite and investor audiences
