Responsibilities
- Analyze emerging technologies, socioeconomic shifts, and geopolitical trends to identify high-impact opportunities for 2026+
- Develop long-term strategic frameworks aligned with sustainable development goals and disruptive innovation
- Lead scenario-planning workshops to prepare the organization for alternative futures
- Partner with R&D to translate foresight insights into product roadmaps and innovation pipelines
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and board stakeholders
- Build and lead a cross-functional futurist task force
- Author thought leadership publications and industry white papers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Policy, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategy consulting, innovation, or futurist roles with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of developing and implementing 5+ year strategic roadmaps
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Exceptional systems thinking and scenario modeling capabilities
- Experience with horizon scanning and trend analysis methodologies
- Strong presentation skills with executive-level communication prowess
- Published thought leadership in futures or strategy publications
