Responsibilities
- Architect quantum computing systems leveraging 50+ qubit processors with error correction protocols
- Design fault-tolerant quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical interfaces for real-world industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and ML specialists
- Document quantum system specifications and integration roadmaps
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum chip performance
- Stay current with emerging quantum standards (QIR, OpenQASM 3.0)
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development or quantum system architecture
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and complexity theory
- Expertise in high-performance computing architectures
