Responsibilities
- Analyze quantum computing, AGI, and synthetic biology trends to forecast 2026 market opportunities
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps with 5-year commercialization horizons
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers and product managers in prototype development
- Present findings to C-suite executives and board members quarterly
- Secure patents and partnerships for emerging IP portfolios
- Mentor junior futurists through our Tech Visionary Fellowship program
- Author white papers published in IEEE and Nature journals
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Physics, or Bioengineering with 10+ years R&D experience
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ successful launches)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, neural network architecture, or CRISPR applications
- Strong background in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Published research in peer-reviewed journals (minimum 5 citations)
- Experience securing federal SBIR/STTR grants ($1M+ awarded)
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, and simulation modeling tools
