Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 2026+ technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead predictive analysis of emerging technologies (quantum, AI, biotech) and their commercial applications
- Partner with VPs of Engineering and Product to integrate future-focused innovations
- Present strategic technology forecasts to C-suite and board members
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental projects
- Represent Horizon Dynamics at global tech summits and policy forums
- Mentor emerging talent in our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership at Fortune 500 companies
- Proven track record in forecasting tech trends (demonstrated via published reports)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, AI ethics, or sustainable tech
- Executive-level presentation skills with experience addressing C-suite audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or MIT Technology Review
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary innovation teams
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
