Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, screen, and direct incoming calls and visitors in a professional manner.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate digital and paper records of departmental files.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of memos, reports, and official correspondence.
- Coordinate schedules and assist with meeting preparations and minute-taking.
- Process incoming mail and distribute it to the appropriate departments promptly.
- Assist the public with inquiries and direct them to the correct resources.
- Perform general clerical duties to support the office operations.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A valid Tennessee driver’s license is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- No prior government experience required; on-the-job training provided.
