Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026-2030 AI product strategy, aligning with UN SDG targets and market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen AI applications (e.g., AGI frameworks, neural-symbolic integration)
- Secure partnerships with MIT, Stanford, and ETH Zurich for emerging research commercialization
- Establish AI governance frameworks ensuring ethical deployment and regulatory compliance
- Present strategic roadmap to C-suite and board, securing approval for $50M+ annual R&D budget
- Mentor a 15-person innovation lab in Austin and satellite offices
- Author industry thought leadership on AI's societal impact (target: 3+ keynote speeches/year)
Qualifications
- 10+ years in AI/ML leadership, with 5+ years in strategic product visioning
- Proven track record launching AI products generating $100M+ revenue
- Deep expertise in transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and explainable AI
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or related field
- Published research in top-tier AI journals (NeurIPS, ICML, or Nature ML)
- Experience securing government grants and corporate partnerships
- Expertise in AI ethics frameworks (EU AI Act, NIST RMF)
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and MLOps deployment
