Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize real-time navigation algorithms for Level 4 autonomous vehicles
- Integrate LiDAR, radar, and camera sensor data using machine learning frameworks
- Design fail-safe systems for edge-case scenarios in complex urban environments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate system performance through simulation and real-world testing
- Document technical specifications and contribute to patent filings for proprietary innovations
- Mentor junior engineers on autonomous systems best practices
Qualifications
- MS in Robotics, Computer Engineering, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 5+ years experience in autonomous vehicle software development
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and ROS/RQT frameworks
- Expertise in sensor fusion and Kalman filtering techniques
- Published research in IEEE/ACM journals on autonomous systems
- Strong problem-solving skills for real-time system optimization
- Valid US driver's license with clean record
