Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve all official municipal records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Oversee election administration and voter registration processes
- Provide public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Coordinate city council meetings and prepare official documentation
- Administer municipal licenses, permits, and business registrations
- Serve as the primary liaison between residents and city government
- Maintain the city's official seal and authenticate documents
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Proficiency with document management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Illinois municipal codes and election laws
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute discretion
