Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain all official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate and document City Council proceedings and public hearings
- Oversee municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Ensure compliance with open records laws and Sunshine Act requirements
- Administer oaths of office and notary public services
- Lead records digitization and archival preservation initiatives
- Serve as liaison between citizens and government officials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Georgia Municipal Clerk Certification (preferred)
- Expert knowledge of Georgia open records laws and Sunshine Act
- Advanced proficiency in municipal records management systems
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage complex public meetings and hearings
