- Officially record, maintain, and certify all City Council minutes, ordinances, and resolutions
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Oversee election administration and voter registration processes
- Administer oaths of office and maintain official city documents
- Coordinate public notices and legal advertisements
- Lead document management systems and record retention policies
- Advise elected officials on parliamentary procedure and legislative compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of municipal government experience
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of Texas open records laws and election procedures
- Advanced proficiency in document management systems
- Exceptional written communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
