Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Coordinate and facilitate City Council and Board of Aldermen meetings
- Oversee public records requests and ensure timely responses
- Administer oaths of office and manage municipal elections
- Prepare agendas and official documentation for public hearings
- Ensure compliance with Kentucky Open Records Act and Sunshine Law
- Train staff on records management procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government experience
- Proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, DocuWare)
- Knowledge of Kentucky Revised Statutes Chapter 61A
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Valid Kentucky driver's license
