Responsibilities
- Oversee all official city records, minutes, and archival documents with precision
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration services
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Prepare and certify official city documents, resolutions, and ordinances
- Lead the City Council agenda process and meeting coordination
- Develop records management systems for digital and physical archives
- Advise city officials on legislative compliance and procedural matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 5+ years of municipal government or public records management experience
- Expertise in Minnesota election laws and open records statutes
- Advanced proficiency with records management software (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership experience in public sector environments
- Ability to manage sensitive information with absolute discretion
