Responsibilities
- Maintain and preserve official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Oversee city elections, voter registration, and ballot preparation processes
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and documentation
- Administer oaths of office and serve as the city's official record keeper
- Implement records management systems and retention policies
- Provide administrative support to city boards and commissions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal records management experience
- Proficiency with records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Deep knowledge of Texas open records laws and municipal procedures
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines
- Texas Notary Public certification preferred
- Experience with election administration a plus
