You'll lead records management, coordinate municipal elections, and serve as the official custodian of city documents while supporting City Council operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official city records including ordinances, resolutions, and council minutes
- Administer municipal elections in compliance with Texas Election Code requirements
- Oversee public records requests and ensure open government transparency
- Coordinate City Council meetings, agendas, and documentation
- Supervise records management systems and document retention policies
- Administer oaths and serve as the city's official notary
- Manage municipal publications and legal advertisements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government experience with records management focus
- Deep knowledge of Texas Local Government Code and election laws
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and public service orientation
- Valid Texas Notary Public commission
