Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official city records, ordinances, and meeting minutes
- Administer oaths, public notices, and election documentation
- Oversee records retention policies and public information requests
- Coordinate with city council and mayoral office on legislative processes
- Ensure compliance with Indiana open records laws and municipal regulations
- Lead records digitization and modernization initiatives
- Supervise clerical staff and records management systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Indiana Public Records Officer certification preferred
- Expertise in records retention policies and FOIA compliance
- Proficiency in document management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Exceptional written communication and public relations skills
- Valid Indiana driver's license and residency in Marion County
