Responsibilities
- Safeguard and maintain official municipal records, documents, and archives per state/federal regulations
- Manage all election processes including voter registration, polling place logistics, and certification
- Prepare, publish, and archive City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and official actions
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with Arizona Public Records Law
- Oversee municipal records management systems and retention policies
- Act as custodian of the City Seal and attestation of official documents
- Coordinate with legal department on legislative updates and procedural compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or public sector experience
- Arizona Election Certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Advanced proficiency in records management systems (e.g., Laserfiche)
- Expert knowledge of Arizona Revised Statutes Titles 9 and 11
- Proven experience with council meeting procedures and minute-taking
- Ability to manage high-volume public records requests with strict deadlines
- Valid Arizona driver's license
