Responsibilities
- Oversee all city council meetings, including agenda preparation, minute-taking, and ordinance documentation
- Maintain official city records, contracts, and archival documents with precision
- Manage public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Administer municipal elections and voter registration processes
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure procedural compliance
- Serve as the official custodian of the city seal and official documents
- Facilitate public access to municipal information while maintaining confidentiality protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of municipal government or records management experience
- Expert knowledge of Oklahoma open records laws and parliamentary procedure
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license
- Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation preferred
