Responsibilities
- Manage and preserve official municipal records, ordinances, and resolutions
- Oversee City Council agenda preparation, minute-taking, and public record dissemination
- Administer oaths of office and serve as custodian of the official city seal
- Ensure compliance with Arizona public records laws and open meeting requirements
- Coordinate municipal elections and voter education initiatives
- Implement records retention policies and digital archiving systems
- Provide administrative support to City Council and executive leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration or related field
- Minimum 3 years municipal government or records management experience
- Expertise in Arizona public records laws (ARS 39-121 et seq.)
- Proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Valid Arizona Driver's License
- Notary Public certification preferred
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
