Responsibilities
- Manage official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with meticulous accuracy
- Administer public records requests and ensure compliance with open records laws
- Oversee municipal elections, voter registration, and ballot management processes
- Prepare and maintain legislative documentation for City Council actions
- Lead records management systems and digital archiving initiatives
- Coordinate with city departments and external stakeholders on regulatory compliance
- Supplement records management staff and implement retention policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years municipal government or records management experience
- Texas Certified Municipal Clerk (TCMC) designation preferred
- Expertise in Texas Open Records Act and election regulations
- Advanced proficiency in records management software (e.g., Laserfiche, OnBase)
- Exceptional written communication and documentation skills
- Proven ability to manage high-volume public records processes
