Responsibilities
- Record Management: Maintain and organize official city records, including ordinances, resolutions, and meeting minutes with the highest level of accuracy.
- Public Access: Assist the public in accessing vital records, property information, and archived documents in accordance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Administrative Support: Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentations for the City Clerk and senior management staff.
- Meeting Coordination: Coordinate logistics for municipal meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
- Data Entry: Perform high-volume data entry tasks using various office software and database systems to update municipal databases.
- Customer Service: Serve as the primary point of contact for inquiries regarding city ordinances and administrative procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience in municipal government, records management, or customer service is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with database management systems.
- Attributes: Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
