Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, including resolutions, ordinances, contracts, and meeting minutes.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute meeting agendas and official correspondence for the City Council and Mayor’s Office.
- Process Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate public hearings, town halls, and community events to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to residents, vendors, and internal staff regarding municipal procedures.
- Oversee the maintenance of the City Charter and ensure compliance with all governing bylaws.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; Associate’s degree in Public Administration or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in municipal government, legal administration, or clerical management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and records management software.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to proofread complex documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
