Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, ordinances, resolutions, and minutes
- Oversee municipal elections administration including voter registration and election coordination
- Process and issue permits, licenses, and official documents with precision
- Provide administrative support to Common Council including agenda preparation and meeting coordination
- Ensure compliance with federal/state record retention and public access laws
- Develop and implement records management systems and retention policies
- Act as primary liaison between public and government regarding official processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field
- Minimum 5 years municipal government experience with 2+ years in clerk role
- Expert knowledge of election laws, record management, and municipal procedures
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple deadlines
- Advanced proficiency in records management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent written/verbal communication and public presentation skills
- Wisconsin municipal clerk certification preferred
