Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official municipal records, documents, and databases with precision
- Process and review permit applications, licenses, and administrative forms
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, answering inquiries and resolving concerns
- Coordinate with city departments to ensure accurate information dissemination
- Prepare and distribute official correspondence, reports, and public notices
- Support public meetings and hearings through minute-taking and documentation
- Ensure compliance with city ordinances, state regulations, and record-keeping protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems
- Strong attention to detail with proven accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Chicago municipal operations preferred
