Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain official city records, documents, and digital archives with meticulous accuracy
- Process and coordinate public records requests while ensuring compliance with open records laws
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens, businesses, and city staff via in-person, phone, and digital channels
- Prepare, edit, and distribute official council agendas, minutes, and legislative documents
- Coordinate departmental communications and support inter-agency project initiatives
- Utilize municipal software systems for data entry, reporting, and record management
- Assist in election coordination and voter registration processes as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in public administration or related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of administrative or clerical experience in government or regulated environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management systems
- Strong knowledge of municipal procedures, record retention policies, and open records laws
