Responsibilities
- Project Management: Lead the design, development, and implementation of public infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
- Technical Oversight: Conduct site inspections and quality control reviews to ensure all municipal projects comply with local, state, and federal codes.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with city officials, contractors, and community members to provide project updates and address concerns.
- Technical Analysis: Utilize CAD and BIM software to prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and estimates.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure all engineering practices adhere to OSHA safety regulations and environmental protection standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of project milestones, budgets, and progress reports.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) from an accredited university.
- Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Indiana is highly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in municipal or civil engineering projects.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Bentley MicroStation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot engineering challenges and provide innovative solutions within budget constraints.
