Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the design, construction, and renovation of park facilities, trails, and infrastructure projects.
  • Prepare detailed engineering plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Oversee contract administration, including contractor selection, monitoring, and payment verification.
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with community stakeholders, neighborhood associations, and other city departments.
  • Perform hydraulic and hydrologic analysis for stormwater management systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience in municipal or public sector projects.
  • Valid Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple concurrent projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as project schedules require.
