Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic community revitalization plans for designated Memphis neighborhoods
- Manage federal/state grant applications ($1M+ annually) and compliance reporting
- Facilitate stakeholder meetings with residents, nonprofits, and city officials
- Analyze demographic/economic data to identify development opportunities
- Oversee affordable housing projects and commercial corridor improvements
- Prepare comprehensive reports for County Commission and public hearings
- Coordinate with Memphis & Shelby County Land Use Services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years community development or public sector experience
- Expertise in grant writing and federal compliance (CDBG, HOME)
- Proficiency with GIS mapping and demographic analysis tools
- Strong public speaking and conflict resolution skills
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
- Experience with neighborhood revitalization initiatives
- Knowledge of Memphis zoning ordinances and land-use policies
