Responsibilities
- Develop and implement neighborhood revitalization strategies aligned with Metro Nashville's comprehensive plan
- Manage grant applications and compliance for community development projects
- Conduct demographic analysis and community needs assessments
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions with residents, businesses, and nonprofits
- Prepare detailed project proposals, budgets, and progress reports
- Coordinate with city departments on zoning, housing, and infrastructure initiatives
- Monitor project outcomes and ensure alignment with equity goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in community development or municipal planning
- Proficiency in GIS mapping and data analysis tools
- Strong grant writing and project management skills
- Excellent communication and public presentation abilities
- Knowledge of Tennessee municipal regulations and HUD programs
- Valid Tennessee driver's license
