Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and maintain facility security during overnight shifts
- Conduct regular perimeter checks and surveillance operations
- Enforce facility rules and respond to emergencies with de-escalation protocols
- Document incidents and maintain detailed security logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement teams during critical operations
- Perform headcounts and ensure inmate accountability
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid when needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE) certification preferred
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to pass rigorous background check and drug screening
- Physical fitness for standing/walking 8+ hours and restraining protocols
- Strong communication skills in English/Spanish bilingual preferred
- Minimum 21 years of age and US citizenship
- No felony convictions
