Responsibilities
- Maintain security protocols and conduct regular patrols during night shifts
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility regulationsRespond to emergencies and incidents with de-escalation techniques
- Prepare detailed incident and shift reports
- Screen visitors and control access points
- Conduct headcounts and security inspections
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Ohio Peace Officer certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic first aid/CPR certification
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work rotating night shifts and weekends
- Ohio driver's license with clean record
