Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities and enforce facility rules
- Conduct regular security patrols and headcounts
- Respond to emergencies and incidents per protocol
- Process inmate transfers and admissions
- Maintain accurate documentation and incident reports
- Operate security systems and control room equipment
- Provide support during emergency response drills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver's License
- Successfully pass background investigation
- Complete certified correctional training program
- Ability to work flexible weekend schedule (Fri-Sun or Sat-Sun)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Physical ability to meet job demands including walking and climbing
- No felony convictions
