Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the county's local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues across various departments.
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive government data from cyber threats.
- Assist in the deployment of new hardware, software, and IT systems upgrades.
- Document technical procedures and maintain accurate system logs.
- Collaborate with vendors and contractors to resolve complex IT challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, or CCNA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
