Cyber Security Analyst | Immediate Start | London
Are you a security expert looking to make a tangible impact on national infrastructure? We are partnering with a leading UK government body to recruit a Cyber Security Analyst for an immediate start.
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for safeguarding sensitive citizen data and critical systems against evolving cyber threats. You will work within a high-performing team, ensuring compliance with government standards while proactively identifying vulnerabilities.
What You Will Do:
- Monitor security operations centers (SOC) to detect and respond to incidents in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to harden system defenses.
- Enforce data protection policies and ensure compliance with GDPR and NCSC standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement robust security architectures.
- Prepare detailed reports on security incidents and risk assessments for senior stakeholders.
Who We're Looking For:
- Proven experience in a technical security role within the public or private sector.
- Strong knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or Security+ are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Ability to obtain or hold a suitable security clearance (SC or DV).
