Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced cybersecurity protocols for federal systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Monitor network traffic for security threats and incidents
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-agency security teams on threat intelligence
- Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST, and federal security standards
- Mentor junior cybersecurity professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in federal IT security environments
- Active CISSP, Security+, or equivalent DoD-approved certification
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) and network security
- Knowledge of FISMA and NIST SP 800-53 frameworks
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
