In this role, you will take ownership of our fundraising strategy, identifying new opportunities and crafting proposals that secure the resources needed to expand our impact.
Responsibilities
- Research & Identification: Monitor funding trends and identify relevant grant opportunities from federal, state, and private foundations.
- Proposal Development: Write, edit, and proofread high-quality grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and budget narratives.
- Calendar Management: Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to ensure strict adherence to all submission deadlines.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with program staff and leadership to gather data, define project goals, and align proposals with organizational strategy.
- Reporting & Compliance: Track grant deliverables and produce timely, accurate reports to ensure continued funding and compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in grant writing, non-profit development, or related fields.
- Track Record: Proven history of successfully securing funding from diverse sources (foundations, corporations, government).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Skills: Exceptional research skills, strong writing abilities, and the ability to translate complex data into accessible language.
- Tools: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Blackbaud) is highly preferred.
