Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap aligned with company vision
- Lead a multidisciplinary team in researching and prototyping emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech convergence)
- Establish strategic partnerships with academia, startups, and industry leaders
- Present technology forecasts and recommendations to C-suite and board members
- Manage $5M+ R&D budget for future technology initiatives
- Drive patent development and intellectual property strategy
- Mentor next-generation technologists and innovation leaders
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with proven track record in R&D or innovation
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (AI, quantum, AR/VR, etc.)
- Experience developing 5-year+ technology roadmaps
- Strong strategic planning and executive communication skills
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism
- Experience managing cross-functional teams of 20+ professionals
- PhD or equivalent research experience preferred
