Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers with vehicle registration, title transfers, and license renewals in a friendly and professional manner.
- Manage incoming phone calls and walk-in traffic to ensure smooth queue flow and minimal wait times.
- Process applications for driver's licenses, identification cards, and commercial driving permits accurately.
- Resolve complex customer inquiries regarding fees, vehicle history, and policy compliance.
- Maintain precise records in the state database and verify documentation for compliance with state laws.
- Assist customers with online portal navigation and DMV kiosk operations.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline departmental processes and improve service delivery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, government operations, or administrative support.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new DMV-specific software quickly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex procedures clearly.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive personal and financial data.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and operate standard office equipment.
