Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive emergency management plans for natural disasters and public health crises
- Coordinate multi-agency response operations during emergency activations
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for critical infrastructure
- Train emergency personnel and community stakeholders on preparedness protocols
- Manage grant funding and compliance for FEMA programs
- Prepare detailed after-action reports and improvement strategies
- Leverage GIS technology for hazard mapping and resource allocation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of emergency management or public safety experience
- Certified Emergency Manager (CEM) or equivalent certification
- Expertise in NIMS/ICS protocols and FEMA grant management
- Advanced proficiency in emergency management software and GIS tools
- Exceptional crisis communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Louisiana driver's license
