Responsibilities
- Coordinate county-wide emergency responses including wildfires, floods, and public health incidents
- Develop and implement disaster recovery plans in collaboration with 15+ partner agencies
- Lead public information campaigns during crises via press briefings and social media
- Manage emergency supply chain logistics and resource allocation protocols
- Train 50+ county staff in incident command system (ICS) procedures
- Analyze post-incident data to enhance future response strategies
- Secure federal/state emergency funding through grant applications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Emergency Management, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience in disaster response or government emergency services
- FEMA Professional Development Series (PDS) certification required
- Expertise in NIMS/ICS protocols and incident command systems
- Valid Nevada driver's license with clean record
- Ability to work 24/7 rotations during emergency activations
- Advanced proficiency in GIS mapping and emergency software platforms
- Spanish bilingual proficiency strongly preferred
