Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional customer service to citizens via phone, email, and in-person inquiries
- Manage accurate data entry and maintain confidential records using city databases
- Coordinate departmental scheduling, meetings, and logistics for staff and officials
- Prepare professional correspondence, reports, and public-facing documents
- Assist with procurement processes, inventory management, and office supply coordination
- Support community outreach initiatives and public event coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental objectives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (college coursework preferred)
- Zero prior experience required – we provide full training!
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
- Valid North Carolina driver's license (if applicable to role)
