Responsibilities
- Process and maintain accurate records of incoming applications, permits, and municipal documents.
- Assist the public with inquiries via phone, email, and in-person, providing high-quality customer service.
- Perform data entry and update database systems with precise attention to detail.
- Prepare reports and correspondence using standard office software and government protocols.
- Coordinate scheduling for department meetings and assist with administrative logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all city and state regulations regarding document handling and privacy.
- Assist senior staff with special projects and ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree or coursework in Business Administration preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative support role is a plus but not required for this entry-level position.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer literacy.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
