Responsibilities
- Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, and document management within the federal database.
- Answer incoming telephone inquiries in a professional manner and direct calls to the appropriate department or personnel.
- Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages according to federal regulations.
- Assist senior staff with preparing reports, arranging meetings, and maintaining office supplies inventory.
- Update and maintain accurate records and filing systems to ensure compliance with federal standards.
- Review documents for completeness and accuracy before submission to higher-level officials.
- Assist with the coordination of intake processes for veterans visiting the office.
Qualifications
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Skills: Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is preferred.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
