Responsibilities
- Process and review pension eligibility applications and benefit requests for federal retirees.
- Analyze employee contribution data and service records to ensure accurate benefit calculations.
- Provide exceptional customer service to federal employees regarding complex pension inquiries and status updates.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal regulations (FERS, CSRS) and agency policies.
- Assist in the maintenance and security of the federal benefits database and filing systems.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to identify trends and resolve discrepancies in pension records.
- Prepare accurate reports on pension plan performance and employee engagement metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Human Resources, Public Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Basic understanding of retirement plans, 401(k), or pension structures is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel for data analysis.
