Responsibilities
- Client Support: Assist federal agencies and the public by answering inquiries regarding services, applications, and program eligibility via phone, email, and in-person.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential records of client interactions and application statuses using federal databases and compliance software.
- Documentation: Prepare, review, and process necessary paperwork to ensure all federal guidelines and regulations are met.
- Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants, providing clear instructions and updates regarding their cases.
- Compliance: Ensure all processes adhere to strict federal privacy laws (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA) and agency protocols.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with senior staff to streamline workflows and improve overall service delivery.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, or a related field is a plus.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a background check and security clearance.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new database systems quickly.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Experience: Previous experience in customer service, administrative support, or government services is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level candidates.
