Summary of Duties
As an Entry-Level IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for technical assistance, ensuring our federal workforce remains productive and secure.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support via phone, email, and in-person for hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Log and track all service requests and incidents using the IT Service Management (ITSM) system (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Assist in the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of workstations, printers, and peripherals.
- Perform routine system backups, patch management, and security updates.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and resolve user complaints.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT assets and report discrepancies immediately.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Must be graduating within 12 months.
- Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a Public Trust security clearance.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows, Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Clearance: Must be willing and able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-service oriented mindset.
