Responsibilities
- Process incoming pension applications, inquiries, and benefit requests with a high degree of accuracy.
- Maintain and update employee retirement records in the state database, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
- Assist the public and state employees via phone, email, and in-person regarding retirement plan questions.
- Verify data integrity for pension disbursements and prepare necessary documentation for audit.
- Collaborate with the Finance and HR departments to resolve discrepancies in member accounts.
- Participate in ongoing training regarding state pension laws and internal software updates.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with sensitive financial data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle high volumes of work in a fast-paced government environment.
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States is required.
