Your primary focus will be assisting retirees and active employees with pension inquiries, processing retirement applications, and ensuring data accuracy within our state systems.
Responsibilities
- Process new pension applications and retirement requests with high accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding pension plan benefits and eligibility.
- Update and maintain employee pension records in the state database.
- Conduct data entry tasks to ensure financial reporting is up to date.
- Collaborate with the HR department to resolve complex benefit issues.
- Assist in organizing retirement workshops and information sessions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Public Administration is a plus.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
- Basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced government office environment.
